An animated short film to an audio recording of  Shel Silvertsein's famous poem, "Sick". I strongly believe that half the joy of Silvertsein's writings is acting them out. This project was a result of me wanting to create an experience for the readers of today of a classic poem.

Intentionally drawn to mimic Shel Silberstein's hand drawn, scratchy style. Type and character animation executed in Adobe Photoshop

Individual Frames:

As part of my process, I first divided the poem into scenes by isolating each excuse the character makes. I drew each of these scenes and treated them as my storyboard. I then animated the transitions in between.
